That was the first reaction from one of the people I was explaining Flash Point Football to. She didn’t know much about football, didn’t have any idea what teams were likely headed to the Super Bowl and what teams were likely going to be home before the playoffs started. Let alone have a clue about what players were on what teams.
Turns out, you don’t have to know any of that to enjoy playing Flash Point Football. The game is designed to allow both experts and novices equal footing on winning this contest. The game breaks down different aspects of the game, things such as first downs, interceptions and fumbles.
In all, ten categories are available to pick while banking on the home or away team. Each time your picked team accomplishes a touchdown, first down or other aspect included in the available categories, you win. When the opposing team scores in one of those categories from the team you picked, your opponent in that category wins.
The game runs itself once you complete the draft which allocates what game participants are on what team in each category. Turns out, it is not difficult at all, either to pick or play, and it makes an already intriguing National Football League game that much more exciting. Even for those that didn’t know they were football fans until they played Flash Point Football.
The game is available online, which allows you to participate with a select group of friends or in a public room with new acquaintances. The game can also be played at a party where participants can decide what each category is worth, one dollar is a recommendation, and one will see the aliveness and vitality of their party escalate beyond expectations.
